EOP Lending Library
About Lending Library
The Lending Library program is designed to assist all EOP students in obtaining required textbooks that they would not be able to purchase on their own. These books have been donated by EOP students and can only be checked out to EOP students.
Selection Criteria
To participate in EOP’s lending library, students must meet ALL of the following criteria:
- Must be currently enrolled at Cal Poly with 12 or more units
- Must be enrolled in the course that you are requesting a book for
- All books awarded in prior quarters must be returned
- Maintain quarterly contact with an EOP counselor
Inventory
For the list of books available, view our inventory. (updated Fall 2021)
Lending Process
As soon as you are registered for your next quarter you may request book(s). Books are loaned on a first come first serve basis, so the sooner you submit your request, the greater your chance of being able to borrow the book(s) you want. Requests can take 1-2 business days to process.
If you would like to request a book, review the book inventory and then email your requests to eop@calpoly.edu.
In your email please include: the book title(s), the course name(s)
EOP will respond to your request if the book is available and ready to pick up.
Book Return Instructions
Books must be returned by the end of the quarter. This allows other students to benefit from this service. All books must be returned to the EOP office, Bldg. 52, Rm. E-7 during regular hours of operation, 8 am - 5pm.
IMPORTANT: If you were loaned textbooks in previous quarters and did not return them, you will not be able to request books for the quarter and a hold will be placed on your account. Any severely damaged or lost books will be replaced at the expense of the borrower. For more information, please email eop@calpoly.edu.
