Counseling

Counseling staff will treat you as an individual, taking into account your physical, economic, social, and cultural environment. Counselors will work to involve you in academic and extracurricular activities that will integrate you into the campus community, and which will promote your well-being and achievement.

Course Scheduling Support

Counseling staff are here to help you plan and organize your course schedule. Counselors will work diligently to assist you with your degree progress and provide you with appropriate resources for additional academic-related support.

Workshops

In collaboration with the Academic Skills Center (ASC), EOP staff encourages students to participate in academic enrichment services. The ASC sponsors supplemental workshops in math and science and study sessions.

Summer Institute

Summer Institute (SI) is a mandatory orientation program for first year newly admitted EOP freshmen. Through SI, students will participate in a three- week residential program to support a successful transition from high school to college.

Financial Aid

Eligible students may qualify for an EOP grant of up to $1,050 per year. To be considered for a grant, you must apply for financial aid by filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). To be considered for an EOP grant, AB540 students should complete the CA DREAM Act application (not the FAFSA).

Residential Learning Community (RLC)

Welcome to EOP’s Living Learning Community (LLC)! All EOP first-year students are required to live in our Living Learning Community through University Housing on campus. The LLC was created to enhance students’ residential and educational experience by participating in various academic and social activities. Please review the EOP LLC page for more information.
