As a Summer Institute participant, you will enroll in 6 units:
- Ethnic Studies 112, General Education (4 units)
- Discussion Group for Ethnic Studies 112 (1 unit)
- English Course (1 unit)
Over the many years that Summer Institute has been in existence, these courses have been proven to provide incoming first years with the most important and relevant topics affecting them at this particular stage of their personal and academic life.
Ethnic Studies 112 is a high demand class and a general education requirement. Summer Institute participants will have the added advantage of taking this course with Dr. Jenell Navarro, Dr. Alpen Razi, and Dr. Grace Yeh who is considered an outstanding professor at Cal Poly!!
